Why Oasis Sailing Club

Sailing season is here! Enjoy blue water sailing in one of the world’s best sites!  Click Here to Join the Oasis Sailing Club!

The Oasis Sailing Club makes recreational sailing available to members and their guests and provides instruction in sailing to those members who wish to learn how to handle a sailboat. The goal of the club is to offer fun, safe sailing for its members and guests.

Oasis Sailing Club began in 1986 with four members and has grown to over 180!

The club maintains a fleet of two sailboats docked at the Balboa Yacht Basin Marina. Both boats were recently refitted with Yanmar engines and transmissions, B & G nav systems, mainsails and feathering props. They are well maintained and professionally cleaned.

Members and guests enjoy blue water casual, day and sunset sails as well as race practice and ocean racing off the beautiful Newport Coast. The club also offers day trips to Dana Point as well as sails originating in Alamitos Bay (for sailing off of Long Beach) and occasional overnight sails to Catalina Island. Social activities include holiday parties, a beach picnic and a truly wonderful Opening Day Ceremony.

Members sign up for sails online through an easy-to-use reservation system.

Oasis Sailing Club also gives back to the Newport Beach community by helping the Friends of OASIS with several of its fund raisers, and the American Legion Yacht Club with its Sail for the Visually Impaired and participating in the Old Glory Boat Parade.

OasisĀ Sailing Club membership requires Friends of OASIS membership. Click Here to Join
